My new Beansprout Ukulele
In March, I taught and performed at Menucha Uke Camp, an incredible 5-day ukulele festival in the beautiful mountains of Oregon, overlooking the Columbia Gorge. The fest was a magic retreat full of the incredible spirit and enthusiasm that I’ve come to find in the ukulele community.
Another great part of the trip was that I picked up my new instrument from luthier, Aaron Keim of Beansprout Musical Instruments. He and his wife Nicole run the fest, perform, teach and run their own business building beautiful handcrafted wooden instruments.
My new tenor is tuned low G, with a spruce top from Vancouver island, Myrtle back and sides from The Carpenter Ant stash and Pistachio fretboard and headstock from California orchards. Read more about my instrument and consider ordering one of your own on their website here!
